Selecting a Home Health Services Provider


Home care is growing in popularity and is a more cost effective alternative to other types of health care such as extended hospital stays and nursing home residence.  Home health services allows patients to remain in their home, near those they love, while individual care is given.
 

Home delivery of health services has been found to be extremely effective for those recuperating from a hospital stay, needing help with an acute or chronic illness, receiving rehabilitative therapy, or needing help with basic daily living activities such as eating, bathing, dressing, etc.

Medicare, Medicaid, specific New Jersey State programs administered through the Office of Mental Health, and Department of Health and Senior Services, third-party insurance, and private pay offer financial support for home health care services.  Since home health care benefits and eligibility requirements vary greatly, it is important to consult with home health care providers to determine specific coverage.
